2025 Year In Review
We are nearing the end of 2025, and what a year it has been for our school and students! As we reflect on the past twelve months, we are proud to share some of the highlights and memories that made 2025 so special.
January 2025
The year kicked off with excitement as students returned to classes after winter break. Instructors enjoyed hearing all the stories and holiday memories our students shared. Our High Performance Team wasted no time getting back to work, training intensely for the National Championships in February, while our colour belt students began hearing the buzz about the upcoming BC Championships in March.
February 2025
February was packed with competition. Our High Performance athletes competed at the 2025 Canadian National Championships and the Canada Open, spending a full week on the competition floor. They returned home with outstanding results—earning medals, confidence, and unforgettable memories.
This month also featured our Chinese New Year demonstration at Lansdowne Mall. Our elite team trained hard and delivered a fantastic performance for the community.

March 2025
March was all about grinding through tough training sessions in preparation for the BC Championships at the end of the month. Our students finished the competition stronger than ever, gaining valuable experience and renewed motivation to improve.

April 2025
The competitions kept coming! In April, some of our High Performance athletes represented us at the Pan American Championships in Mexico. They returned with an incredible 4 gold medals and 1 silver medal—an outstanding achievement for our team. Within the same month, a few of our newly achieved black belts received their Kukkiwon certificates from Korea!

May 2025
May marked a major milestone for several students as they achieved their black belts. We are extremely proud of their dedication, perseverance, and passion for Taekwondo.

June 2025
With summer just around the corner, our training did not slow down. Several colour belt students leveled up and successfully completed their promotion tests. It was a great month filled with progress and celebration.

July 2025
Summer officially arrived, but the heat did not stop our students from training hard. We proudly participated in the Canada Day Parade and the Walk With The Dragon, thrilling the crowd with powerful kicks, flips, and high energy.
July was extra special as one of our instructors, Gordon Cheuk, competed at the 2025 University Games in Germany and returned home with a bronze medal. This historic achievement had never been accomplished before in Taekwondo Canada, making it a truly proud moment for our school.

August 2025
Our High Performance athletes attended a week-long training camp hosted by Canada’s Head Coach, Master Kang. The camp was intense and demanding, but incredibly rewarding. Athletes returned motivated, focused, and eager to continue honing their skills.
September 2025
As school resumed, it was great to see everyone back from vacation and reunited with teammates. Some students worked hard to refresh their skills, while others were simply excited to train together again. With a new competition on the horizon, the energy in the dojang was high. Some of our black belts also performed at the CFCC's annual dinner gala. It was an overall fun and exciting time for both the performers and the CFCC audience members.

October 2025
October was a big month for promotions, as many colour belt students earned their new belts after countless hours of hard work. We also competed in the 2025 BC Korean Consul Cup. With the largest number of athletes competing, our school demonstrated true strength in numbers, showcasing excellent skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

November 2025
In November, some of our High Performance athletes competed at the BC Team Trials, aiming to earn funding support for the upcoming National Championships. They performed exceptionally well, gaining valuable experience heading into the new year.
The following week, these athletes—along with several others—completed their black belt tests, marking yet another important milestone in their Taekwondo journeys.

December 2025
And now, we arrive at the final month of the year. With Christmas lights shining and holiday spirit in the air, our students continue to train with focus and excitement. Some are pushing through their final intensive sessions of the year, while others look forward to completing their last promotion tests before celebrating the holidays.
As 2025 comes to a close, we are incredibly proud of everything our students and instructors have accomplished. Thank you all to the parents, students, instructors, and masters who made this year so unforgettable—we can’t wait to see what 2026 has in store!
